Description of duties

Provides analysis and administration within Financial Planning.

Job description

Financial Analysis. Participates in the preparation and distribution of timely & insightful financial analysis to determine progress against strategic plan, budget and forecast. Participates in projects and contributes process improvement ideas. Participates in the interpretation and reviewing of financial results within assigned area of responsibility.

Manage and drive profitability & cash flow. Looks for opportunities to assist managers in more efficient or effective ways to invest their resources. Reviews risks and opportunities of plans with financial management. Monitors that working capital is efficiently and effectively being used. Develops and monitors appropriate metrics focused on the P&L, balance sheet and free cash flow (such as CACC, ROIC). Monitors operating and capital spending.

Financial/Strategic planning process. Generates budgets that incorporate strategic business plan objectives and incorporates appropriate assumptions. Participates in the monthly forecasting process for assigned division, category, gender group, or cost center. Reviews forecast assumptions with Finance Manager and/or with business managers.

Financial Integrity. Participates in the Financial Planning team's support of the Controlling team's ultimate responsibility for the integrity of the financial statements (management and statutory) and compliance with US GAAP. Works with local Accounting staff on the documentation of Corporate and Region accounting policies and procedures. Works with Corporate Audit and the Region Controlling team to recommend improvements to internal controls.

Requirements

  • University degree in business related field with emphasis in Finance and Accounting.

  • Minimum two years' experience in accounting or financial analysis.

  • Microsoft Office skills .

  • Effective verbal and written communication.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with others .

  • Ability to network and utilise internal and external resources.

  • Proficient information seeking skills and drive for results.
